Start with just the months

Go through to review

Play Gopher game

Students must stand up for their birthday month

Ordinal Numbers

Introduce ordinal numbers

Start with 4

^{th}, 6^{th}, 7^{th}, 16^{th}…. à all the regular numbers
Then introduce 5

Teach 1

^{st}, 2^{nd}, 3^{rd},
Then show them there is a pattern

When is your birthday?

It’s January 3

Battleship

Students will each be given a paper with 2 grids on it. One grid is their secret board, one is their guessing board.

Students will put 3 shapes on their secret boards.

They want to try to guess the 3 shapes on their partners board before their partner guesses the shapes on their own board.

To make a guess students must say dates (example January 10

^{th}) the other student will look at their board and see if part of a shape is there. They will say Yes or No.
The students take turns making guesses until one of the students has found all the other students shapes.

学生たちは皆一人一人の紙を上げて、その紙に２つのグリッドはある。上のグリッドにパートナーのすいりょうする。下のグリッドは自分のひみつグリッドだ。

そのひみつグリッドで３つの形をおどる。

最初にパートナーの形を言い当てるやりたい。

すいりょうで、学生達は月日を言う、そしてパートナーは自分のひみつグリッドに見て１つの形は入ているかどうか。そして「yes」か「no」を言う。

学生は１つのすいりょうして、そしてパートナーはすいりょうして、一人の全部の形を見つけたまでにする。
